You always think life is moving fast, but nothing makes life move faster than having a child. Landon turned one a few weeks ago, and it seems like he was just born a few months ago.

With so many things changing, it seems almost impossible to remember what happened in a year, but I’m going to try! (And I’m going to rely on my calendar and photos to help lol.)

We started 2019 by ringing in the New Year at my cousin’s home in North Carolina. From there, we drove to Washington D.C., the first time I’d ever been, and toured the city for four days. Unfortunately, it was in the middle of a government shutdown, so most of the things we’d planned to do were closed, but we were still able to see quite a lot of things.

We arrived home in time to catch a surprise baby goat birth, including one kid with severe issues that required several weeks of intense physical therapy. Since Mason told us that she couldn’t be saved, the rest of the barn crew and I were determined to prove him wrong, and Noelle and her sister Nora are quite happy with the rest of the herd right now.

We celebrated our first anniversary with taking Landon on his first trip to the zoo, since it was an unseasonably warm day, and a trip to the Cheesecake Factory for some of Mommy’s favorite dessert (you can’t beat the Cinnabon cheesecake!)

A few weeks after getting back from D.C., we went to Florida for Landon’s first Disney trip! He won’t remember it, but I certainly enjoyed it.

February and March passed in a flurry of baby goats, and in April we enjoyed a visit with Great Grammy, followed by a trip to Granni’s for Easter.

In June, we went down to Tennessee for vacation with Mason’s family. Landon loved going fast in the boat, but was not a fan of his lifejacket, hat, or when Mommy and Daddy both went on the tube.

July and August we celebrated a cousin’s wedding and had lots of friends come to visit us and meet Landon.

In September, we drove to Cincinnati for a fun weekend with Grammie, Granddad, Aunt Lindsay, and Uncle Ty at the Cincinnati Zoo.

Great Grammy and Gumpy came down for another visit, too!

We also found out that we were expecting again, which was a surprise, but a very happy one.

In November, we celebrated Landon’s 1st birthday, which is so hard to believe.

And December was a flurry of celebrating Christmas in four different places, where Landon got so many fun things (and some very much needed things, too!)

It was such a wonderful year and we’re so thankful that we got to spend so much of it with the people we love. <3
