Brett is a wife, mom, lover of chocolate, and over-user of smiley faces who lives in Southern Indiana and works in her family’s business with her seven younger siblings. She loves reading and writing, and is passionate about homeschooling, educating young writers, and preparing women for motherhood. You can find her on Twitter and Instagram.
Mason loves baseball, cooking, and hunting, and is happiest when his days involve all three. He raises cattle and sheep, has a love/hate relationship with working on farm equipment, and spends his days making food and cheese in the kitchens at Goat Milk Stuff.
Landon joined the family in November of 2018. He loves being outside, tractors, any animals, his “tat” (cat), and cookies.
Michael was born in May of 2020. He loves chasing after his older brother, smiling at Daddy, and biting Mommy.
O’Malley the cat joined the family in September of 2020 when he appeared on the front porch, too small and with a bum leg. When Mason caught him and handed him to Brett, we knew that we couldn’t let him go, and the #WerstCatEver joined the crew.
Our Story
Mason grew up in North-West Ohio, where he played enjoyed playing baseball and cooking. Brett moved to Indiana when she was seven, where she and her seven homeschooled siblings worked in their family’s business.
They met when they were twelve and ten years old at Mason’s grandparent’s house. Brett’s mom was so impressed with Mason that she gave Brett permission to marry him someday, though no one ever thought that would happen.
Ten years later, Mason moved down to Indiana to stay with his grandmother, and Brett’s family hired him to work in their commercial kitchen. After a brief flirtation, Brett got scared and ran away, determined to avoid him, but Mason knew that if he won over her family, he could win her over. Two years later, Brett finally admitted the only real reason she had for not dating him was his height, and that wasn’t a good enough reason.
After a month and a half of officially dating, they got engaged. The #werstweddingever took place on January 6th, 2018, six months later, and they are loving life as the #werstfamilyever.
